Connect Groups

Looking for a fresh opportunity to connect with others here at Hilltop? Whether you are still exploring this whole "Christianity thing" or are a long-time follower of Jesus, these ever-changing , relevant, short-term groups are a great way to connect with who we are at Hilltop. So dip your toes in the water, connect with other people, and discover what following Jesus is all about.

We encourage everyone at Hilltop to be a part of a Connect Group. Why? Because we believe that life is not meant to do alone. God designed us to be in community with others. Connect Groups are a great way to meet people, make friends, learn more about God and find real answers for life’s questions. Registration for Fall Semester will begin in August.

Fall Semester 2019

Epic of Eden—Jonah (begins Oct. 1 - 8 weeks)

Host: Jeff Adams

Location: West Classroom

Day/Time: Tuesday evenings 6:30-8:00 pm

Cost: $17.00*

When most people think about the book of Jonah, they think about a children’s story. Others think about a story they’ve heard so many times there could not possibly be anything new to learn from it. In The Epic of Eden: Jonah, Dr. Sandra Richter takes us on a journey through Jonah’s life that leads us all to the place where we realize that our God is way bigger than we thought. Are we willing to let God be God, to move us out of our comfort zones, and embrace a calling that might just take us to the edges of the world we know? Childcare provided.

Girl, Wash Your Face (begins Oct. 1 - 6 weeks)

Host: Kelly Rivers

Location: 208 Harbor Hill Dr.

Day/Time: Tuesday evenings 6:30-8:00 pm

Cost: $13.00*

If you are sick of believing the lies society leads women to think about themselves and each other, and are ready to face the truth that YOU are the only person responsible for your happiness and who YOU become, then this group is for you!! This is going to be a FUN and LAID BACK way to discuss important issues women face today, such as… I’m not good enough, I’m not a good mom, I should be further along by now, I’m defined by my weight...just a couple of the lies we can and will discuss!

Cultures in Conflict (begins Oct. 6 - 5 weeks)

Host: Nancy Mackenzie

Location: Fireside Room

Day/Time: Sunday mornings 10:30-11:30 am

How do you live in a culture where the worldview conflicts with Christianity? Learn from Paul as he presents his beliefs to the most powerful court in Athens and settles among the Greco-Romans of Corinth, who valued wealth and class, worship of multiple gods, and decadent pleasure seeking above all else. Through this Ray Vander Lann DVD study you will discover how to live in a dechristianized Western world–in a way that glorifies God.
