WHAT WE BELIEVE

We believe that the best news of all is that God is with us!

Why we follow Jesus

We believe that Jesus is the clearest and most complete view of God that we are able to see.  But we not only see God in Jesus, we experience God intimately as we follow Jesus and his way of love and peace. It is through Christ’s holy life, his sacrificial death, and his victorious resurrection from the dead that we are given new life to be who God originally created each and everyone of us to be--loving God and loving others as we make disciples of Jesus for the transformation of the world. Simply put, we live for something greater than ourselves, and we don’t do this alone. We live for something greater alongside one another. Following Jesus is a journey. We welcome you to join us in this journey.  It will change your life forever. We know because it’s changed ours.

What United Methodists believe

The United Methodist Church is a 12.3 million-strong global church that opens hearts, opens minds and open doors through active engagement with our world. The mission of the United Methodist Church is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. John Wesley and other early Methodists placed primary emphasis on Christian living, on putting faith and love into action. This emphasis on truly following Jesus in all we do continues to be a hallmark of United Methodism today.

The basics of our faith

We yearn to live into the call on our lives to be the hands and feet of Jesus Christ to the world. To live out this calling, we keep our Christian roots, which we share with Christians around the world, at the very foundation of our faith. Read more about out the basics of our faith.
