Serve in our community
“doing good of every possible sort, and, as far as possible, to all people”
Serve in Greater Mankato!
We understand that our church is here not for us, but for the community. As United Methodists we strive to heed the lessons of John Wesley: to live lovingly and justly as servants of Christ by healing the sick, feeding the hungry, and caring for the stranger. We have partnered with the following non-profit organizations in our community who are living this mission and we try to support them in any way we can.
Discreetly provides packs of child-friendly food to elementary students to sustain them on the weekends and on school breaks. Hilltop has supported the Backpack Food Program since 2010, providing over $26,000 in funding. Most of the funds are received through sales from our Annual Christmas Festival, which is held the first Saturday in December. We also collect food items and cash during in the Fall.
